Arts Collaboratory consists of a shared Hivos/DOEN fund for cultural entrepreneurship of artists initiatives and a programme for knowledge sharing on three themes: confrontation of artistic visions, the projection of arts into society and cultural management. Besides running a website and organising meetings, Arts Collaboratory challenges artists initiatives to develop innovative knowledge sharing proposals on the above mentioned themes.
Mission
In the last decennium the international exchange within the visual arts has immensely grown. Arts Collaboratory aims to give an impuls to the further diversification of this internationalisation and to the quality of exchange processes. In other words it wants to increase the participation from artists from all over the world, especially from less connected areas in Africa, Asia and Latin-America, and it wants to contribute to the deepening and sustainability of the exchange processes. Besides this, special attention is given to the increase of knowledge on art from Africa, Asia and Latin-America in the Netherlands and vice versa.
Arts Collaboratory
