The 1st International Mokuhanga Conference

The Japanese woodblock printmaking, mokuhanga, is something unique in the history of printmaking, different from all other instances of the craft in terms of technique and artistic expression. 1000 years old Japanese woodcut method is gaining more and more interest outside Japan as nature friendly non-toxic method. The 1st International Mokuhanga Conference will offer an important forum where the traditional woodcut techniques can be debated and where new technical solutions and materials can be found.
