Cecile Wesolowski's Art Journal - February 2009
In February I work with a new video project, it comes from the drawings " American houses ". I cut and I edit again some various American series to make a new story, a personal story based on self-fiction. I added my image in the series and I have redefined the composition of the image of the original series. The colors are deleted (except red) and the contrast is increased. The picture looks like the video "A week of hysteria made in USA", but darker and with more details. The new video looks like older cause the black and white esthetics but the pixels refer generation " streaming " directly related to the American series. Only the sound is intact, I work directly with the image to be synchronized with it.
I'm preparing a second project : the exhibition with Jovanna Rebecca Tosello, another guest artist at B93. In April, we will show some videos, animations and drawings together for the exhibition "carte blanche" in B93. This exhibition is organized by the artists of this building.
