Description
The Taipei Artist Village (TAV) first created the International Artist-in-Residence Program to provide a base in Taipei where local and international artists are brought together to facilitate creative intercultural encounters and collaboration.
Technical Information
Facilities available for artists’ use include a computer room with Internet access, Mac G4 (editing and design), black and white darkroom, piano studio, dance studio, slide projectors, video projectors, DVD players, and VCR facilities and so on.
Accommodation Information
An office, ten live-in studios, two public rooms, a seminar room and two gardens are located in a four-story building.
Paid by host
There are three fellowships for international artists to apply. Selected artists will be funded with free accommodation and studio space for 4 to 24 weeks. Special fellowships also provide additional airfare funding.
1. AIR Taipei International Artists Residence (no limitation for nationality)
2. Special Project: Sister Cities of Taipei (for artists who base in any of the 49 sister cities of Taipei)
3. Special Project: New Immigrants Taiwan (for artists who base in the Southeast Asian countries or of the nationality of the region)
