Description
Steim, Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music, is an independent live electronic music centre exclusively dedicated to the performing arts. Steim invites performers, musicians and visual artists for residencies and provides them with an artistic environment and technical facilities, through which concepts can be given a concrete form. New creations are exposed to a receptive and responsive niche public at Steim. Steim has stimulated the design of physical interfaces and is widely considered as the pioneering place for new live electronic concepts.

Application Criteria
It is possible to apply for Steim support for a wide range of activities concerning the development of electronic instruments for music/ sound and image performance.
An 'Orientation Project' allows one to study the possible artistic and technical means available and to get to know the work circumstances at Steim.
