Description
Art centre Saksala ArtRadius is an international residence for artists in the small village Haukivuori in the rural area of Eastern Finland. Artists from all over the world are staying for a shorter or longer time the art centre to work, to concentrate, to cooperate and to look after new experiences in their artistic work.
The art centre is organizing symposiums, events, fairs, programs and activities in the field of art and has founded the AllaprimA MuseuM for child art, contemporary art and young art, the FOAM Sculpture Park for contemporary sculptures, the forest-LABYRINTH, the CHILDREN'S LABYRINTH and the CHILDREN'S FOREST.
In a few years the art centre has build up an interesting network with art organizations in Finland, Russia, USA, the Netherlands, Australia etc, this network is expanding all the time. Artists taking part in the artist-in-residence program are part of this network and they can be invited to different art projects, like symposiums, exhibitions, contests, seminars etc.
The art centre is an independent small private organization and is showing a personal view on art, artists and artist-in-residence. The image of the art centre is developing through the years, the contacts and the expanding international network.

Studio Information
1. Ongoing residence program: 2 studios are available. 2. Support residence program from November - March: 2 studios available.

1. Ongoing artist-in-residence 1050 EURO in a single studio (this is including a grant of 700 EURO)
2. Support artist-in-residence 250 EURO per month single studio and work contract 10 hours a week (this is including a grant of 1200 EURO)
Deposit 250 EURO per artist
There are no other grants, the artist has to apply for more support in his/her own country..
The artist has to pay his/her own daily living costs (30-50 EURO/week), insurances, travel costs, materials and personal expenses

None for ongoing program. Support program: 31 July and other dates for special programs
Application Criteria
Application contents: cv, a copy of the diploma of the academy of art, some relevant pictures of recent work, an idea of the program during the time staying in the art-centre, a guaranty for the payment.
