Description
Noganets, an old wine and silk farm in the south-west of France, an ideal place to concentrate on artistic projects, research and rehearsal. They can receive individual artists or groups up to 10 persons for residencies or workshops for any length of time. The space is set up by association Nomadarts whose aim is to stimulate exchange between artists of different disciplines.
Studio Information
Rehearsal space 130m2, wooden floor, piano, sound equipment (dance, theatre, music); reharsal space 35m2 (lectures, reunions, meditation); workshop 30m2, concrete floor (visual arts); workshop 80m2 concrete/brick floor (visual arts).
Accommodation Information
The residency can host up to 20 persons. Common kitchen, dining room, dormitory, 4 showers, covered outdoorspace, washing machines. 1 single and 3 double bedrooms with bathroom, shower, kitchen and sitting room. Beautiful spots for camping.
Paid by artist
For groups: reharsal space 450 euro per week; lodging in dormitory or camping 12 euro p.p.p.d.; lodging in individual bedrooms 20 euro p.p.p.d.
For individual residencies: accommodation and use of workshops 150 euro p.w.
In case of financial problems is it also possible to work on exchange basis, f.i. workshop given at end of residency by the artist or the group.
Location
Located in the Tarn et Garonne. The 3,5 hectare of parc provides ideal sheltered and shaded spots for outside work. Surrounded by fields and woodland, hilly and quiet. The river Aveyron is at 5km.
60 km from Toulouse, 20 km from Montauban, 10 km from the nearest village with shops. Own transport is helpful for longer residencies.
