Description
Anam Cara is a year-round Irish retreat for writers and artists and others who create. A tranquil spot set to nurture and to provide sanctuary. Whether you choose to come to work on your own project or participate in a workshop with others, you will find support, creature comforts, and peace - all you need to produce your best work.
Technical Information
Computer, landline using phone care, fax, wireless Internet access, photocopier, and b&w/color printer. Sauna and hot tub. Several working spots in the common areas inside the retreat, including a large conservatory/studio in which to work large and messy. Five acres of gardens, hazelnut grove, labyrinth meadow, riverbank and river island with 2 km. of walking paths and 34 nooks and crannies also in which to work.

Five private working/bedrooms with their own baths. All meals provided.

Rates are person per room per week. Residents also pay own Individual traveling expenses and personal needs. Please contact them for details.
Location
Anam Cara is located 150 yards west of the intersection of R571 and R575 (7 km. north of CastletownBere and 1 km. west of Eyeries) overlooking Coulagh Bay and the mountains and farmlands of sub-tropical Beara Peninsula in West Cork. A minibus service leaves from Cork City to Anam Cara Monday through Saturday at 6:00 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. on Sunday; the trip takes about 2 hours and costs 20.
